President Donald Trump has told longtime ally and adviser Roger Stone that a commutation of his prison sentence is coming, according to Politico and NBC News.
What I read is that Stone wants to exonerate himself in court. I assume a pardon would eliminate this avenue. A pardon leaves the impression he was guilty.
I guess that makes sense, although it appears that Mr. Stone would have a heck of a time proving anything in court, based on the way he was treated the first go-around.
Hmmm...so why not a full pardon?
