One perspective is that the administration is just catering to the preferences of its customers. Until this starts to turn off future customers, putting the institution in jeopardy, I don't see how anything changes. Perhaps if customers had to actually pay for their education upfront, they might start to prioritize actual learning vs. juvenile playtime.
