Listen to Children Who’ve Just Been Separated From Their Parents at the Border

This is what the sick supporters of Trump's separation policy are supporting.

Via Pro Publica:
The desperate sobbing of 10 Central American children, separated from their parents one day last week by immigration authorities at the border, makes for excruciating listening...

The baritone voice of a Border Patrol agent booms above the crying. “Well, we have an orchestra here,” he jokes. “What’s missing is a conductor.”

Then a distraught but determined 6-year-old Salvadoran girl pleads repeatedly for someone to call her aunt. Just one call, she begs anyone who will listen. She says she’s memorized the phone number, and at one point, rattles it off to a consular representative. “My mommy says that I’ll go with my aunt,” she whimpers, “and that she’ll come to pick me up there as quickly as possible.”

You are no libertarian if you support this statist anti-family policy.

  1. I am seriously blown away by reading a grown man imitating Rev. Lovejoy.

    RW: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RybNI0KB1bg" lol

Security Guard: "Mr Wenzel, you are under arrest for shoplifting."
RW: "But listen to this child cry! She wanted that toy SO BADLY!"
SG: "Ok, but that's got nothing to do with you having done what you did."
RW: "You don't understand, I BROUGHT the child! So you CAN'T SEPARATE me from her!"
SG: "Wait, so I can't enforce rules on you?"
    RW: "Nope, sucker! Kids RULE!"

    2. SG: "Ok, but that's got nothing to do with you having done what you did."

"But all I did was cross the border!"

SG: "Well, you deserve everyth... Wait... That's all you DID?"

      "Yeah."

SG: "I don't understand. What's wrong with crossing the border?"

"I guess it's illegal or something."

SG: "Who made that illegal? What is this, North Korea?"

"Well, maybe, after more adulations from Trump to Kim Jong-un, perhaps that's where this is going!"

  2. ── You are no libertarian if you support this statist anti-family policy. ──

Robert, Trumpistas can't claim to be libertarian and most of the Trumpista trolls who are attempting to take over the comments page don't waste a minute to call us "libertardians" or brand us with other silly insults.

Even the less frowsy comments indicate a special hatred for markets and people's ability to freely act upon their choices. They regard immigrants as 'invaders' which is an obvious attempt at obviating the fact that there are millions of Americans who are more than willing to hire immigrants, rent to them, sell to them, buy from them and even marry them. This is the reason why immigrants are coming and not because of welfare. The market signals are there: every time immigrants here in the US send money to their folks, or talk to their folks and friends on the phone or send letters, people there receive information about a Market that offers a great demand for their labor.

The Trump administration is using this policy to obtain political concessions from their rivals in Congress and the Senate. They're using the children as bargaining chips, not unlike hostage takers. That doesn't speak of a person who fancies himself the best negotiator ever but of a callous and evil man with no scruples or moral restraints. Perhaps this is what Trumpistas were waiting for, but let it be said: be careful what you wish for.

  3. Newton, I appreciate that you arent falling for the SJW knee jerk pigeon-holling. Whoever had this idea really saw through the bullshit of the situation.

They also suggested a master-stroke deterrent! Think about it ... those who would put their kids in harms way would have to consider their chance of success as very high. If there are consequences to this illegal behavior perhaps people would think twice.

I say lets keep making busting into Murica not worth your while and you can collect your kids on the way out.

  4. Right on RW! The family is the natural enemy of the State, as they are antithetical to one another.
The State hates the family unit, but amazingly at some times it can get support from some to destroy it.
From what I have read of American history, the Europeans who crossed the Atlantic put their children a extreme risk to give them a better life.
I can think over and understand a position for closed borders based on culture, (although I refuse to support the State in any measures it takes) but this action really amazes me that there are people who support it.
Who gives a flip if Obama did it too. Who cares if Bush 2 started it. They are both murderous POS. Some of you are cheering Trump for it.
And it’s wrong. Men of character should defend the weak, and in this case, the weakest. Not justify and cheer the damn bully State. You guys are really just worthless trash, if you really support this. America doesn’t need you any more than the “illegals” you don’t want here.
You idiotic arguments of “so if 5 billion people want to come here” is so moronic I can’t stand it.
If Western Culture is so damn superior then what the hell are you all so scared of? And that’s what it is. Fear. The State has taught you to fear and you do, and see it as your savior.
If you are the face of America we need to have more immigrants to replace you and your kind.
Comparing a mans home to the US border is idiotic.
Fact check boys, you don’t own America. At all. Just because you are so pathetic you allow the US government to steal your wealth from you to enrich themselves and redistribute it as they see fit sure isn’t the fault of a traveler.
When the mob steals from people those people certainly don’t think they now own a share of the stolen loot. Cause they don’t.
I think I can speak for many here, “We ask not for your counsel or your arms, crouch down and lick the hands that feed you, and may posterity forget you were ever our countrymen”.

    1. I think its a great immigration policy to separate the children from families. We are being invaded, and fools like you and others want to live in this fantasy land idiocy. Show that mass immigration of foreign cultures has been a great win for Sweden, England, Germany, or other places? Move to Central America or Africa and live your stupidity over there.

    2. Joshua, nice post. I must confess, I don't understand the "western civilization" that these people are fighting for.

First, I mistakenly thought that the key developments that "western civilization" brought were respect for individual rights versus the state, free markets, freedom of thought and association, Judeo-Christian empathy for the downtrodden, etc. It seems that with every angry post by those in favor of state-managed borders, they drift further away from these things.

Second, many of them seem to want an exclusively white, European-heritage society, but when you look around at the massive welfare, liberty-crushing states that western European societies have enabled, one wonders why that should be the benchmark. Do they really want to live in a facsimile of the EU, even as it was pre-immigration crisis (which, by the way, has been caused by "western civilization" countries such as the US, UK, and France bombing the hell out of Middle Eastern countries)?

Wow, you need to get back on your meds, kiddo.

Yes, there are billions of people on this earth who, if they thought they could get in, would travel to America and sign up for the dole. Sorry.

  5. Texas deputy sexually assaulted undocumented immigrant's child, sheriff says
"The details of the case are quite frankly heartbreaking, disturbing, disgusting and infuriating all at the same time."

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna884176
A Texas sheriff's deputy was being held Monday on a charge of "super aggravated sexual assault" of a 4-year-old girl after authorities say her mother, an undocumented immigrant, was being blackmailed to stay silent about the abuse — or face deportation.

It's almost as if they put their children in harm's way when they bring them along to commit crimes!

Again, we are creating moral hazard (we already did in previous administrations) and inducing mothers to bring their 4-year-olds on a dangerous journey where, along the way, they'll have no, or limited, protections.

  7. The best argument against tax funded, state provided welfare and social services is that the chain of cause and effect inextricably link this political structure to the end result of children being removed from parents arrested for immigration violation. We should be against these socialist schemes precisely because they result in children being abused by a corrupt and inhumane system erected to control the indiscriminate immigration caused by offering free bread to all comers in the first place.

The people who are arguing that it is unrealistic or irrational to allow children to be retained by parents who have been arrested for breaking the law are dropping context.

    1) The parents only arrested because they violated the immigration laws.
    2) The immigration laws exist to control the problem run-away mass immigration of marginally productive people.
    3) The mass immigration of marginally productive people is caused by a distorted immigration "market" whose cost calculations are influenced by incentives in the give-aways and boondoggles of socialist welfare and state-provided "free and unconditional" social services.

The argument against number 3 is made powerful by the argument against number 1 when the causal connection is not dropped. Conversely, when the argument against number 1 is blunted by dropping the context and pointing out "the parents broke the law!!!" the argument against number 3 loses much of its power. Detached and disconnected from the consequences, the argument against number 3 is left being a mere issue of whether people "care" or not, when clearly, there are much larger consequences in question. When people who are supposedly agreed on the undesirability of number 3 drop the context that it inevitably results in problem 2, which ends up in abhorrent "political solution" number 1 they are doing neither themselves nor the cause of truth any service.

You have to strike the root.
