Democrat Takes Kentucky State House Seat in County That Trump Won By 50%; 86 % Swing

A Democratic candidate in Kentucky won a state special election Kentucky house seat Tuesday by a 38% margin in a deep red county, Bullitt County, that Trump won by 50%. This massive 86% swing is the biggest one so far and pushes average Democratic swing since 2016 up to 13%.

If this trend continues, November is going to be a disaster for Republicans. And thanks to Trump, the dumb socialist, most of the country believes the only alternative to Trump is lefty Democrats.

What a mess.

  1. There's always lefty libertarians too, but maybe they just want to vote for someone who can actually win.

  3. Of course, special elections aren’t necessarily indicative of midterm success. Both candidates have a history in the district that likely played into voters’ decisions. Belcher entered politics when her husband, Democratic state Representative Larry Belcher, died in a car crash in 2008. She went on to serve in the legislature from 2008 to 2012, and from 2014 to 2016. She lost her last election to Republican Dan Johnson by less than 200 votes.

In December Johnson killed himself, two days after he was accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl. A day later his widow Rebecca, who has denied the allegations, said she would run for his seat. The Johnsons had previously generated controversy with their social media posts; Dan had posted images that depicted the Obamas as apes, and Rebecca shared memes that made light of domestic violence and drug use, and endorsed secession.

Never ever say that we AnCaps didn't warn you. Hitlery IS Gawd-awful but no one would be able to say today with a straight face that the alternative to Hitlery is another lefty, had she won.

Instead, the strangely orange-hued, p...y-grabbing and Racial Expert-in-chief IS the face of the GOP and, saddly, capitalism, for at least a generation. A New York liberal, of all people.

    1. At least if Hillary had won, we wouldn’t have to suffer the pathetic spectacle of “libertarians” continually lic... er... washing the president’s ballsack.

  6. We can only hope that the election is a disaster for the GOP. Having a split Congress is the best chance we have in the short term of less "getting done" in DC.
