Krugman Warns on Trump

Trump fanboys are not going to like my view on this, but I do not believe these Krugman scenarios can not be ruled out:

It's possible this could occur early on in the Trump Administration or more likely down the road some.

It should be noted that Michael Moore is already calling for "100 Days of Resistance."
“Trump gets upset if there’s 10 people outside Trump Tower…. What’s he going to think if there’s 100,000 or 500,000 (at inauguration)” Moore said on MSNBC’s Last Word.
“It’s important that everybody go there,” he added. “This will have an effect. We have to throw everything at this. This man is slightly unhinged, if I can say that, and he’s a malignant narcissist. He’s going to be very upset if there’s a lot of people there.”
Al Sharpton says there will be a "Season of Disobedience."

It does not strike me as the type of thing Trump will ignore or eventually react to.

  2. Check out the latest Moron Dowd article @ NY Times.
I hope the go full retard....
This hoax 'russia did it' meme is ludicrous enough that it has, and will continue revealing, the nakedness of the obama regime and it's hollow rhetoric.
I'm not a trump fan boy. Highest probability is that trump is compromised (or truly clueless?).
I side with those positing trump as being the symptom of a diseased society and culture. Just as with obama, bush, william the clinton, and good old herbert walker.
    I'd love to be wrong.

  3. Who cares about Sharpton and Moore. It's 50% tempter tantrum, 50% trying to be relevant in their circle.

As for intel community revolting, I doubt it. Let them. Remember the military intel has his ear. If CIA and rest of intel community revolts, he'll just rely on MI, making the rest of the intel comm useless. If anything, they'll trick Trump into something, which they often do anyways. So, business as usual.

If GOP revolts, let them. Either it'll stifle government, which would be wonderful. Or, we'll grab the popcorn as their infighting comes out in public.

  4. In other words, the Left will deliberately provoke violence, hoping for an over-reaction.

  5. I'm no Trump fan but where's the evidence that Trump will use the government to start violence or Trump supporters will? This was the team D narrative throughout the election season but their examples kept turning out to be BS. Even the church burning turned out not to be according to the narrative we were given.

Trump's favorite tools to deal with opposition have been verbal. Hanging nicknames on people, insulting them, ridiculing them, etc and so on at his worst. I doubt he initiates violence. Provokes it perhaps. That's how government works in the USA. Provoke the target and then take the moral high ground when the target acts.

My prediction he lets team D's supporters get violent. Allows city police departments deal with them to going around breaking windows, burning cars after over turning them, various acts of vandalism against private and government property and so on. Then he will attempt to leverage that to discredit them. It won't work because team D destruction of property is considered acceptable protest by the media, but a Mayor Daley style head cracking is not something I see in his persuasion methods. He's not that knowledgeable about a lot of things, but playing the media for fools is one where he does know what he's doing.

  6. OK, Robert. Let's wildly speculate on a particular scenario, then fantasize on Trump's response or actions based on nothing. Also, I don't see any mea culpa from the Woolsey thing. You used Woolsey's hiring as proof that Trump was compromised by the deep state. All indications is that he isn't.
