BREAKING Trump Campaign Chairman Has Resigned

Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's campaign chairman, has resigned.

This is a developing story. Return to this post for updates.

UPDATE

Donald Trump confirmed the resignation in a statement: “This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”

  1. I agree with your past assertion that Manafort was/is a serious insider who "runs" insiders. I just read something on WaPo about his shadowy past associations (acting as liaison with a number of dictators) on behalf of the empire in the 1980s, as well as the allegations of significant cash payments for an advisory role to Ukraine's Yanuchovich (thus giving some ammo to those Trump foes saying he was a "tool" of Russia/Putin). My speculation is that Manafort was brought in by the Deep State to hold off elements of the Republican establishment personally hostile to Trump from pulling anything at the convention that might endanger the overall op being run to install Killary. The fact that the allegations against Manafort have been public for a week or so, during which time Trump has been allowed to reorganize his campaign in an orderly manner, and the the media/Killary campaign have not been all over it, instead choosing to focus on that "rayciss" Breitbart guy, is very telling.
