What I Am Going to Do on The Couch Tonight for 20 Minutes

The latest exercise in military worship is dedicating the doing of 20 push-ups or sit-ups to the military. This nonsense is the idea of GiveThem20, “a non-profit organization focused on assisting our returning military build their next careers.” 

This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard of, other than voting Republican and thinking that this time things will be different. Wouldn’t it make more sense to dedicate to the military the invading and occupying of someone’s property that you didn’t know and killing 20 of its inhabitants? Since I am a non-violent person, I will instead dedicate 20 minutes to the military of sitting on the couch tonight and thinking of articles to write about the folly of joining the military.
