Walter Block Appealing Decision That Threw His Lawsuit Against NYT Out of Court
Dr. Walter Block has sent out the below concerning the status of his lawsuit:

It's not that the NYT quoted Prof. Block out of context but that they identified him as the guy who said slavery is "not so bad".
ReplyDeleteWalter Block, an economics professor at Loyola University in New Orleans who described slavery as “not so bad,” is also highly critical of the Civil Rights Act.
The NOLA headline "Loyola professor who called slavery 'not so bad'" is also defamatory.
The statement that slavery is "NOT SO BAD" was transparently deeply cynical and sarcastic. It was like saying prison isn't so bad because you make new friends and get free meals EXCEPT YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE OR SEE YOUR FAMILY.
Our opponents seem to know in their hearts that cannot refute us on the merits so they sink to lies and defamatory misrepresentations.
