    "Restore our promise".
    What does that mean? When I was born, what promise was given to me?
    Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness?
    I will take that, if that was promised to me, but beyond that, Teddy, what are you talking about?
    Is this a promise you are making, and yet don't divulge, or some promise some guys who have been dead over 200 years that you and your gangsters say I am bound too and you are not?

      Much like "Change you can believe in," this is just another open ended political slogan allowing people to fill in the blanks themselves. This allows him to gain more popularity by being all things to all people.
