This is Incredible: A Real Life Ayn Rand-Style Hero Has Emerged in the Face of the Current Tyranny

Move over Howard Roark and John Galt, Tony Roman is here.

On March 24, a second court hearing was scheduled for the Huntington Beach, California neighborhood Italian restaurant "Basilico's Pasta e Vino."

As was the case for the first hearing, the owner, Tony Roman, refused to appear.

The hearing was scheduled because Basilico's "has never shut down, remaining fully operational without any restrictions, including banning masks,  in total defiance of all tyrannical local and state government orders since the minute they were announced for California on March 19th, 2020."

Instead of appearing at the hearing, Roman issued the below video (14 minutes 8 seconds).

You must watch the entire thing. The deeper into the video, the better it gets.

By the end, you will want to plant a "Basilico's Pasta e Vino" flag on your car and outside your home.

H/T to Martin Hill who brought the video to my attention and who writes:

I met Tony at Basilico's this past weekend while dining there again with friends. He seems like a great genuine guy; the place was packed as usual, no masks, distancing, or commies. 😅🙏🏻👊🏻🍝🍕🇮🇹 The restaurant has delicious authentic Italian food.

  1. Absolutely heroic. We need to make a list of all the heroes and their deeds. CA has two biggies in Tony Roman and Peggy Hall. But there are so many more.

  2. This guy was interviewed on The Highwire with Del Bigtree months ago. He was great. I've yet to watch the video above, but in the past interview I heard, the big takeaway for me was that we must be willing to risk it all for the things we believe in. Too many of us Americans are not willing to jeopardize our comfortable lifestyles and if we wait to long we may miss our chance. How many businesses have closed their doors without even a whimper? This guy, the gym owner in NJ and others like them are true heroes.

    2. I hope you had a great time! I hope Del continues his political/philosophical journey from being a "progressive" to being "marooned" by the political parties, to finding Ron Paul, Rothbard, Rockwell, Wenzel, etc.

  3. Who pretends that the "scars of surrender" will ever heal? Fools. Resistance to evil is life!

  5. Perfectly said! About time someone said it! Thanks for the scolding Tony. We needed it.

  6. I'll wear a mask when the March Madness basketball players do! The fraudsters can't have it both ways. Either we're all at risk, or nobody is.
