The more people hired in government not based on ability but rather extraneous factors such as, gender, race, mental sexual identity disorder. etc., the better.

ReplyDeleteThese pushes for equity in the government workforce can spillover into regulatory rulemaking, which I think would not be desirable. At the very least, it's affecting national priorities.
Memo to CIA agent Miia: You cannot rationally state that you are unapologetic for being yourself and also claim you are tired of apologizing for being who you are. If that confuses you, I apologize.

DeleteInstitutions that require attracting customers in a free or freeish market eventually destroy themselves as the institutional game players take over and then only hire their own kind. Government keeps going and even thrives on it regardless unless some other government invades, the smaller units break away, or there is overthrown. Yes hiring like this makes those more likely but will it make us better off?
ReplyDeleteThere is only a slim possibility of government institutional collapse from one of those three causes somehow happening without an economic collapse leaves us better off and I think Slim left the building.
