Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Attempt to Hijack the Federal Reserve

 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Democratic Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts has been working with Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on "Green New Deal" legislation that will be unveiled soon, an aide to Markey confirmed to CNN.

Don't be fooled by the name, this is much more than climate change legislation. As dangerous and wacky as the anti-carbon aspects of the bill will be, it is much worse. It is an all-out attempt to hijack the Federal Reserve and the capitalist money-raising system.

AOC's draft bill calls for creation of a Green New Deal Select Committee to be composed of 15 House members appointed by the Speaker of the House with authority to develop a detailed national, industrial, economic mobilization plan, for the transition of the economy to GHG-neutral (drawing down GHGs from the atmosphere and oceans), and to promote economic and environmental justice and equality.

Here is the kicker,

The draft text calls for financing by the Federal government of its demands by using a combination of the Federal Reserve System, a [possible] new public bank, or a system of regional and specialized public banks, public venture funds, and other vehicles or structures.

Did I mention that AOC is extremely dangerous? Let's see what the AOC-Markey bill looks like.

This legislation could be more lefty than any programmed even instituted by FDR.

  1. Who believes Cortez wrote more than the title of this bill?

The more I hear her speak the more I am convinced she is not an intelligent person with lousy ideologies and a power trip. She is a useful idiot that will be used by the truly powerful. We could hope that she is too much of an idiot and will eventually fail but, with Maxine Waters as an example we know how likely that is.

    1. She is just a different mouth piece than the other Idiocrat in Chief in the White House.

  2. Maybe someone can suggest to her that they sell off all of the barbaric metal that the Fed claims it holds. That would help pay for her program.
