How Can a Libertarian Possibly Take Rand Seriously?

From Reason:
At a Q&A session in Dallas a year ago, Rand Paul expressed skepticism about whether the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) posed "a threat to our national security." Hours later at another event in Dallas, the Kentucky senator said that if he were president he "would lay out the reasoning of why ISIS is a threat to our national security and seek congressional authorization to destroy ISIS militarily."
You know, most politicians wait until they get into office before they flip flop.

  1. This is the primary reason to oppose Rand. It does not matter how "libertarian-ish" he really truly is on the inside compared to everyone else. We get smeared with his dishonesty.

Lying is allowed in politics but lying is not allowed in contractual relations which is fundamental to our vision. We have nothing but our integrity in these matters and Rand completely undermines that.
