Trump Sending Federal "Help" to the Streets of Chicago

What a damn simple minded man.
Trump seems to have no ability to understand the deeper issues that cause the visible problems. Instead, he just expands the reach of the federal government. He's Castro-lite with a combover instead of a beard.

A New James O'Keefe Undercover CNN Video...

Where we learn that a CNN associate producer thinks President Trump is batshit and that the President's adviser Kellyanne Conway is that woman "who looks like she got hit with a shovel" and the voters are "stupid as shit." Some of the points, you can't argue with but this is not an unbiased news organization.

No way CNN CEO Jeff Zucker survives the ATT-Time Warner merger.
But it is only the beginning folks, O'Keefe has barely started. Stay tuned.

Tulsi Gabbard Pushes Bill to Outlaw Government Funding of Terrorists

U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) has introduced legislation that would outlaw the U.S. from providing assistance to terrorist organizations.

Gabbard is not perfect, especially when it comes to economics, but her opposition to U.S. government funding of terrorists is the best in Congress.

Trump's Attack on Mika and Her Facelift in Perspective

And the pro-war New York Daily News is running with this "facelift humiliation" frontpage on Friday:

Meanwhile, the "crisis" has caused Mika and Joe to postpone their vacation. Dutifully reported by The New York Post.

The hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” delayed their vacation plans so they can return to the air Friday morning and fire back at President Trump’s Twitter attack.

“Joe and Mika were supposed to start their July 4th weekend early by taking Friday off — but following Trump’s tweet, they postponed their trip by a day so they can be back on air Friday morning to sling some ‘bad blood’ back at Trump,” an MSNBC source told NyPo.

The latest from the President of the United States.

FBI Director McCabe Subject Of Three Separate Federal Inquiries Into Alleged Misconduct

By Tyler Durden

A couple of days ago we noted that, according to a report from Circa, Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe may have made a serious error by refusing to recuse himself from the Michael Flynn investigation.  As it turns out, per court documents reviewed by Circa, McCabe may have harbored a personal vendetta against Flynn after he intervening on behalf of an FBI Special Agent, Robyn Gritz, who had accused McCabe and other top FBI officials of sexual discrimination.  Apparently the lack of inter-agency camaraderie didn't sit well with McCabe as other FBI agents subsequently confirmed that his complete disdain for Fylnn was readily apparent.
But, according to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC), McCabe's apparent conflict of interest in the Flynn investigation may not be his only issue these days as he's also the subject of an ongoing investigation for an alleged violation of the Hatch Act for illegally

Super Neocon Condoleezza Rice Praises Trump

It really can't get more sickening than this.

"I believe every president of the United States stands for our values," said Rice, who served as secretary of State and national security advisor during the presidency of George W. Bush. "You heard President Trump say, for instance, after the Syrian chemical attack, we can't let that stand. What he was saying was the president of the United States can't let that stand," reports CNBC.

She added, according toe CNBC, that Russia, in the context of the election meddling, needs to be viewed as a "hostile power."

The war hawk Rice just punched Libertarians for Trump in the gut.

Koch Brothers to Spend $400 Million in 2018 Elections

Charles and David Koch's wealthy network of donors will spend approximately $400 million to push their conservative agenda forward in the upcoming 2018 midterm elections, reports The Hill.

The problem with this is, of course, there isn't even one candidate running for Congress, for the first time or seeking re-election, that deserves even a $100 donation.

You really have to wonder what the brothers are up to.

“Three-hundred million to $400 million for this cycle for politics and policy — we believe we’re headed to the high end of that range,” said Tim Phillips, who oversees Americans for Prosperity, a group funded by the conservative billionaire brothers.

"What we’re urging Republicans in the House and the Senate to do is to be bold, to go big,” Phillips said, according to The Hill,

This group be bold? Is he serious?

BREAKING Rand Paul to Meet Today With Trump

Peter Alexander, national correspondent for NBC News, is reporting that Rand Paul, who is a hardcore "No" on the Republican healthcare bill is meeting with President Trump at the White House at noon.

I am going to be watching this very closely. Will Rand stay firm or will Trump be able to flip him?

Let's hope Rand is only taking the meeting to eyeball one size drapes he may need in 2021.

BREAKING EXPLOSIVE VIDEO: CNN Producer Admits Russia Story is Bullshit!

Back in April, I hinted this was coming (Benjamin Barr is in The House) when James O'Keefe's Washington D.C. attorney Benjamin Barr visited with me in San Francisco. I wrote:
It sounds like O'Keffe is working on a very interesting project that will expose even more lefties. Stay tuned.
I didn't want to say too much to expose O'Keefe's operation but it is HUGE. He just released part 1. Just wait for the rest.

What should be focused on here is that O'Keefe uses the plural "reporters" in the clip. Got that? There is more coming, a lot more.

BTW, the only problem I have with the above clip is that O'Keefe ties in making money with what CNN is doing but it is a very dumb game CNN is playing by distorting news for ratings. In the long run, which is now for CNN, they will get exposed for what they are doing and that is not going to be good for their bottom line or the careers of many at CNN.

Expect many, many resignations as the O'Keefe series continues to roll.

UPDATE 2\

FREE SPEECH: Murray Rothbard vs. The Trump Right

As I have noted previously,  the Trump right is getting as bad as the anti-Trump left.
Frank Camp is correct when he writes:
Now, following the congressional shooting, as well as a rash of violent rhetoric from progressives, a segment of the Trump-Right has decided to adopt the tactics of the anti-free speech Left...

During Sunday’s “Rally for Peace,” some attendees held signs reading: “No hate speech. No political violence,” and “No Julius Caesar” (The Caesar sign referencing the Shakespeare in the Park production in New York in which the assassinated Julius Caesar resembled President Trump)....

The lack of specificity surrounding the definition of “hate speech” allows any citizen (or government leader) to use it as a weapon to silence his or her opposition. It's what we've been seeing from progressives for years, and now, it appears a contingent of Trump supporters want to get their hands on that weapon as well.

A war in which subjectively-defined “hate speech” is the sword and cannon will end in one way — tyranny. Whichever side comes out on top doesn't matter, because in such a war, we will all have lost.
As usual Murray Rothbard gets it right.

HOT BREAKING: Trump May Be Preparing Another Attack on Syria

The White House has just released this statement:

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 26, 2017
Statement from the Press Secretary
The United States has identified potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime that would likely result in the mass murder of civilians, including innocent children.  The activities are similar to preparations the regime made before its April 4, 2017 chemical weapons attack.
As we have previously stated, the United States is in Syria to eliminate the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.  If, however, Mr. Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price.

UPDATE

HOT and now this from US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley:

UPDATE 2

Via Axios:

The statement seemed to come out of nowhere — even to some in the Pentagon. Per Buzzfeed News, "Five defense officials... said they not only did not know where the potential chemical attack would come from, but they were unaware the White House was planning to release the statement."

UPDATE 3

From AP:

Several State Department officials typically involved in coordinating such announcements said they were caught completely off guard by the warning, which didn't appear to be discussed in advance with other national security agencies. Typically, the State Department, the Pentagon and U.S. intelligence agencies would all be consulted before the White House issued a declaration sure to ricochet across foreign capitals

UPDATE 4

From AP:

Less than an hour after Spicer issued the statement, Trump was back to tweeting about the 2016 campaign, denouncing investigations into potential collusion between Moscow and his campaign aides as a "Witch Hunt!"

They Got Them: Three Journalists Leaving CNN After Retracted Article on "Russia Investigation"

Thomas Frank: Who knew you needed legit sources to attack Trump people?
Thomas Frank reported for CNN that a Senate Intelligence Committee investigation into a Russian investment fund [Direct Investment Fund (RDIF)] “whose chief executive met with a member of President Donald Trump’s transition team four days before Trump’s inauguration,” was on going.

It turns out that there was no Senate committee investigation and that, according to the Washington Post,  the transition team official is Anthony Scaramucci, a Wall Streeter who was expected to take a prominent White House position but did not. Most significant he did not, as CNN reported in its web page,  have a meeting RDIF's chief executive  Kirill Dmitriev.

This is what went down according to Scaramucci via an email reported by Breitbart's Matt Boyle:
In Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum,  Dmitriev “came over to say hello in a restaurant, and I was cordial. There is nothing there.
Frank, who wrote the story; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit are now gone from CNN.

A Busy Vicious Weekend for Urban Primitives

In the Big Easy:

Police are trying to identify the four people who brutally attacked two men in town for a religious convention as they walked in the French Quarter Saturday night during a robbery, leaving one victim in critical condition at a local hospital.

James Curran and Tim Byrne were in town from Boston to attend the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association, the annual meeting of the liberal religious association.

Curran was treated for a broken nose and released following Saturday's attack, but Byrne remained hospitalized Monday. (via WWLTV)

In Georgia:

A Georgia restaurant owner and her teenage daughter said they were attacked by customers who were served cold chicken, CBS affiliate WTOC-TV in Savannah reports. Jeanette Norris, owner of the Qwik Chik restaurant in Baxley, Georgia, said the attack happened Thursday after a couple complained about their order of chicken being cold. After a few minutes of arguing back-and-forth, Norris said she refunded their money -- but this did not satisfy the customers. "She went berserk," Norris told WTOC-TV. "They both lost it, him and her both started cussing and beating on the window." Norris confronted the couple outside, telling them she had called the police, but that's when the female customer began striking her in the face. Norris's daughter then exited a truck to help when the male customer punched the teenager in the face.

A Call to Violence Against Speech

There's  a lot of confusion displayed by the sign in the above pic, which appeared at a right wing, "anti-political violence,"  "rally for peace," this past weekend in Washington D.C.

There is nothing peaceful about preventing any kind of speech on private property or the no man's land of "public" government-controlled property.

Preventing speech of any kind under these circumstances requires violence of some sort. It is a terrible, confused idea. But I will not call on stopping them from speaking and promoting this absurdity. I will, however, speak out against it as dumb and promoting political power over debate.

How George Soros Operatives Are Going to Get Dragged Into The Clinton Email Server Scandal

George "Some of the people I bet on to carry out my diabolical plots are idiots" Soros
This is going to be fun.

On Friday, reports emerged that bipartisan group of lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee are looking into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s handling of the F.B.I.’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server.

According to ABC News, the committee is looking for details on Lynch’s communications with former Clinton campaign aide Amanda Renteria, as well as whether the F.B.I. itself ever investigated the reported communication.

The committee also asked Lynch for information about an email, first reported by The New York Times, in which former D.N.C. chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz informed, get this, an official at George Soros’s Open Society Foundations that Lynch had assured the Clinton campaign that the investigation into the presidential candidate “would not go too far.”

It was this e-mail, many believe, that caused former F.B.I. director James Comey to leave Lynch out of the loop before he ended the investigation, because he was afraid such a letter would compromise the integrity of the investigation, notes Vanity Fair.

The Times described the letter as “a document written by a Democratic operative that seemed—at least in the eyes of Mr. Comey and his aides—to raise questions about her independence.”

The committee, made up of Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley, Ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein, and Senators Lindsey Graham and Sheldon Whitehouse, is questioning Lynch and Renteria, as well as Open Society Foundations’ Leonard Benardo and its General Counsel Gail Scovell.

Lynch will eventually have to testify before the committee which could get very interesting because Grassley knows how to get all his ducks in a row. At the same time, Lynch is very good at the carefully worded dodge. I'm betting that Grassley will come out on top.

At the same time, Soros' operation will be exposed to some fire as it becomes exposed to how close its officials were to the Clinton campaign, Further, Soros operatives Bernardo and Scovell could become instrumental in taking down Wasserman Schultz which could result in her taking down Lynch.

NEW INDICATION: Donald Trump May Be a Mad Man

Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh is out with a disturbing report.

It apparently was very clear before President Trump ordered the Tomahawk missile attack on a Syrian air base in response to an alleged Syrian chemical attack that Syria had not launched a chemical attack.

Hersh writes:
On April 6, United States President Donald Trump authorized an early morning Tomahawk missile strike on Shayrat Air Base in central Syria in retaliation for what he said was a deadly nerve agent attack carried out by the Syrian government two days earlier in the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun. Trump issued the order despite having been warned by the U.S. intelligence community that it had found no evidence that the Syrians had used a chemical weapon.

The available intelligence made clear that the Syrians had targeted a jihadist meeting site on April 4 using a Russian-supplied guided bomb equipped with conventional explosives. Details of the attack,  including information on its so-called high-value targets, had been provided by the Russians days in advance to American and allied military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all U.S., allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region.

Some American military and intelligence officials were especially distressed by the president's determination to ignore the evidence. "None of this makes any sense," one officer told colleagues upon learning of the decision to bomb. "We KNOW that there was no chemical attack ... the Russians are furious. Claiming we have the real intel and know the truth ... I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.“
Read that again. It should have been clear to Trump that there was no chemical attack by the Syrians and yet he went on to order the attack.

And it should not go unnoticed that this is one of the few actions that Trump has taken as president that was cheered by mainstream media.

Hersh notes:
[W]ith the Tomahawks on their way, Trump spoke to the nation from Mar-a-Lago, and accused Assad of using nerve gas to choke out “the lives of helpless men, women and children. It was a slow and brutal death for so many ... No child of God should ever suffer such horror.” The next few days were his most successful as president. America rallied around its commander in chief, as it always does in times of war. Trump, who had campaigned as someone who advocated making peace with Assad, was bombing Syria 11 weeks after taking office, and was hailed for doing so by Republicans, Democrats and the media alike. One prominent TV anchorman, Brian Williams of MSNBC, used the word “beautiful” to describe the images of the Tomahawks being launched at sea. Speaking on CNN, Fareed Zakaria said: “I think Donald Trump became president of the United States.” A review of the top 100 American newspapers showed that 39 of them published editorials supporting the bombing in its aftermath, including the New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.
Is this training the President to ignore facts in the future and choose the military option?

The only tripwire that we may have between the President doing something truly mad from a military perspective and sanity is the military that somehow prevents such a Presidential action.

Reading between the lines of the detailed report by Hersh, it strikes me that the military may have structured Trump's options for the Syrian attack in a manner that caused him to choose a relatively harmless option.

But because of the positive response he received from MSM and the masses, he may be willing to act much more boldly in the future. It appears the military is on alert.

Hersh writes (my bold):
“It was a totally Trump show from beginning to end,” the senior adviser said. “A few of the president’s senior national security advisers viewed the mission as a minimized bad presidential decision, and one that they had an obligation to carry out. But I don’t think our national security people are going to allow themselves to be hustled into a bad decision again. If Trump had gone for option three, there might have been some immediate resignations.
So there you have it. We are probably down to a not exactly dovish military preventing a totally mad response to a future crisis.

Walter Block: I Won't (Hint Hint) Stop You If You Email Bernie Sanders!

Last week I published a letter from Dr. Michael Edelstein, An Open Letter to Bernie Sanders,

In the letter, Dr. Edelstein asked Sanders to debate his old high school chum, libertarian Dr. Walter Block.

To date, there has been nothing but a form letter response.

Is Bernie hiding from Walter? Is he afraid to debate a libertarian?

Walter writes:
[M]y friend Dr. Michael Edelstein,[suggested by an email letter] to my ex high school buddy and former fellow track team member, Senator Bernie Sanders, that he and I have a debate. This is followed up with a (non) response from Team Bernie; not from the Man himself. Somehow, I not sure why I believe this, don’t ask me for my reasons, I don’t think this debate will occur....

[I]f you want to write Bernie, see e mail address below, I won’t stop you). I wonder why these sorts of people are shy about public debates with Austro libertarians...??? It is probably because the socialism – capitalism debate has been settled, once and for all, with the former winning hands down. Do you think?

Russian "Hacking" of Election Data Appears to Be Just the Work of Identity Thieves

The more we learn about the "hack" of election data, the more it appears it was just the work of an identity thief or thieves.

As I recently reported, it appears what the "hackers" did was simply surf public website data of voter rolls. It was always a puzzle to me why even this would be done. Now, we have more background to fill in what exactly occurred

A TIME magazine report sheds some new light:
The hacking of state and local election databases in 2016 was more extensive than previously reported, including at least one successful attempt to alter voter information, and the theft of thousands of voter records that contain private information like partial Social Security numbers, current and former officials tell TIME.
Bloomberg adds:
In all, the Russian hackers hit systems in a total of 39 states....
Illinois, which was among the states that gave the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security almost full access to investigate its systems, provides a window into the hackers’ successes and failures.
In early July 2016, a contractor who works two or three days a week at the state board of elections detected unauthorized data leaving the network, according to Ken Menzel, general counsel for the Illinois board of elections. The hackers had gained access to the state’s voter database, which contained information such as names, dates of birth, genders, driver’s licenses and partial Social Security numbers on 15 million people, half of whom were active voters. As many as 90,000 records were ultimately compromised.
The one attempt to alter voter information seems odd and appears to be an outlier but the stealing of voter records that include partial Social Security numbers, DOBs and driver’s licenses info strikes me as a juicy hit for an identity thief rather than Putin. Why exactly would Putin want this info?

My identity thieves theory would also explain why they would go into the donor amount section of the databases. You steal all the identities and then see who is making the largest donations---thus likely to have the largest credit lines, etc.

This is the Guy that Got Arrested Crossing the Border Into Canada

Yesterday, I reported: Canada Arrests American for Smuggling "Hate Speech" on His iPad.

I am glad I put this in the post:
Regardless of what this clown had to say, the prevention of the carrying of a speech on an iPad is horrific.
Thanks to Martin Hill, now I do know what Wild Bill thinks. Martin emailed the below clip.

Wow,

I have not studied the confrontation between Israel and Hamas close enough to form an opinion on who is "in the right." My guess is leadership on both sides are yahoos. Though the Israeli government puts a lot more pressure on United States officials to get the US involved (Score one for Hamas)

The US should play no role in the conflict. Stay out of foreign entanglements and all that.

At least in this video, Wild Bill is not directly calling for a US role--but it doesn't seem like he wants to go over there and fight himself. He just wants to be a cheerleader for Israel from a great distance.

Whatever.

Like, I said in my initial post, government preventing private speech is very bad policy.

First, they silenced the wackos----then they called me a wacko.

American Speaker Arrested in Canada for Smuggling “Hate Speech” on His iPad

By Cari Kelemen

Wild Bill for America, also known as William Finlay, a popular author and speaker, was arrested today, June 24, 2017, at a Canadian airport for “smuggling hate speech” on his iPad. He was invited to speak at an event at Calgary’s Olympic Plaza called the “Patriotic Unity Mega Festival” coordinated by Cananda’s Worldwide Coaliation Against Islam (WCAI) which also has organizations in Europe and Australia.

A special event permit for the event was denied by Calgary’s Department of Canadian Recreation, according to an article by CBC News, “on the basis that your organization, and messages it espouses, are hateful.” But event spokesman, Jeremy Phillips, responded on FaceBook “We are going to march downtown and show the biased city officials that we will not be silenced. It’s all about standing up for our rights and freedoms. We are not interested in a violent confrontation or anything like that. It’s all about having a peaceful protest.”

Have the Koch Brothers Been Captured by the Cultural Marxists?

The  Koch brothers' network will host a three-day retreat starting today in Colorado Springs.

The exclusive event, reports the Denver Post, will draw hundreds of the nation’s top conservative donors to the Broadmoor resort as part of the Seminar Network, one of the umbrella organizations of the billionaire brothers, Charles and David Koch.

Don't think for a minute the gathering will be about libertarianism.

Sadly, despite having billions, the Koch brothers fear the good fight and have reduced themselves to promoting nonsense that won't offend anyone. They don't know it but they have been captured by the Cultural Marxists.

On the front page of Seminar Network scroll down to the video button, push and listen to the inoffensive babble being promoted in the video---and count how many absurd themes Cultural Marxists would be proud of.

UPDATE

Via the Washington Examiner:
COLORADO SPRINGS — NFL Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders defended the Koch brothers here on Saturday as he announced a new initiative with Charles Koch's anti-poverty group to help people in the Dallas area.

Sanders told reporters he's "all in" with his new work with the 501(c)(3) Stand Together, and said the press has unfairly cast the Kochs in its stories.

"When you're someone of status and significant wealth, there's a tremendous expectation, and it's not easy to fulfill all those expectations," he said.

"You talk about a family that has one desire: to make this country a better place," Sanders said. "To level the playing field, to inspire, encourage, motivate. And that's what they do, and that's who they are, and I'm thankful to be partnered with them."

Pence Holds Unannounced Meeting with Charles Koch

Vice President Pence held an unannounced meeting with Charles Koch on Friday, the day before the Koch brothers network kicks off a donor meeting in Colorado Springs, reports  The Hill/

The meeting was not on the vice president's schedule released by the White House late Thursday.

According to The Hill, Marc Short, the White House's director of legislative affairs who once served as Pence's chief of staff on Capitol Hill, and Marty Obst, a longtime Pence adviser who runs the vice president's political action committee, both sat in on the meeting.

On the Koch brothers' side of the room: Mark Holden, Koch Industries' general counsel; Tim Phillips, president of the Koch brothers-backed group Americans for Prosperity; Brian Hooks, president of the Charles Koch Foundation and the Charles Koch Institute; and James Davis, a spokesman for the Koch brothers' network.

The Intellectual Battle vs The Street Battle

Some comments at the On Destroying Intellectual Inferiors post and my replies.

Shimshon writes:
Robert, the only reason the bike lock street thug was caught was because of the kind of people you bemoan. The "weaponized autism" as we call it. You would've tsk-tsk'ed that we should avoid all such confrontations altogether while the perp got away with his violence.
You don't get it and you are clueless.
Where have I ever objected to hunting down criminals?

Talk about a strawman!

The debate is about disrupting others' private events.

Shimsohn again:
I can see you in Poland after the Nazi invasion, bemoaning any sort of attempt to fight back. Resistance is just stooping to the Nazis' level, correct?
Fighting a Nazi invasion is all about one's skill set. It made more sense for Mises to leave Austria and Wilhelm Ropke to leave Germany. Would you seriously have preferred Mises to stay in Vienna rather than escape and write from a safe loaction some of the most pro-freedom works ever?

On the other hand, the remarkable Ludwig Erhard somehow was able to survive in Germany without giving up his free market principles.

I could see others fighting in the resistance by blowing up the train tracks that were taking Jews to Auschwitz.

But what does this have to do with disrupting plays here in America? Is this your plan, disrupt lefty events, to convert lefties to libertarianism?

Shimsohn again:
Now that I think of it, I am certain that Rothbard himself would have applauded the common man reaction to these totalitarian nutjobs
Well, that is because you don't know much about Rothbard, Rothbard split with street protesters.

Walter Block wrote in 2013:
Murray had worked hard on getting that [1969 New York Libertaina]conference going; this might have been the very first such conference of the modern libertarian era. Karl [Hess] led about half of the participants away to a protest at Fort Dix. Murray’s view was that the intellectual battle was crucial to our movement. Karl was then into what Murray derisively dismissed as “seizing a street”: engaging in violent confrontations with cops without much care or concern for the intellectual battle. I think this was the beginning of the split between Murray and Karl.
Shimsohn then writes:
They are ineducable. They are literally incapable of learning. They are insane. And you keep trying to be civil and logical with them. Trying to educate the ineducable. That makes you insane too.
Where do I ever say "they" (the masses) must be the focus of education, As I have pointed out, Keynes to Ayn Rand to Hayek recognized that all societal battles are won by a few at a high intellectual level. Rand at her West Point address said the masses learn by a sort-off, and this is her word, "osmosis."

It is silly to do physical battle with left of the IQ curve people. Win the intellectual battle and you win them.

Shimsohn again:

First quoting me,
"This is a long game, a very long game, that is not going to be won in the next election cycle or the one after that."
And then writing:
Correct. The Reconquista took 700 years.
I guess this is supposed to be sarcastic but the reality is there is going to be no Private Property Society or any other kind of libertarian society any time soon. If you really don't like the intellectual battle for the battle itself and are expecting a victory soon, you are going to be very disappointed.

This is really only a positive battle for those who enjoy the rush of the intellectual smashing of the opposition.

I hasten to add that on occasion it can be valuable to wage some sort of battle for a specific important strategic purpose but this is far from the broad "Let's adopt the left's tactics and just battle them on the streets all the time.."

Donald Trump Will Drop The Bomb – 3 Reasons Why

 By Jason Simpkins

I'm calling it now.
And he could do it sooner than you might want to believe.
If you think I’m paranoid, I hope you’re right.
I hope I’m wrong.
But when I look at what’s going on around the world, and when I look at the kind of person Donald Trump is, it just seems obvious to me that we’re heading for something big.
So please allow me to make the following case…

Point #1: Donald Trump Already Said He’d Do It… Repeatedly

Donald Trump has been talking about using nuclear weapons for more than two years.
The first reference I could find was a conversation he had with Chris Matthews in March 2015.
“Somebody hits us within ISIS — you wouldn’t fight back with a nuke?” Trump asked. “Why are we making them? Why do we make them?”
“Look, nuclear should be off the table,” he added. “But would there be a time when it could be used, possibly, possibly?”
Trump expanded on his position the very next day, in an interview with Fox News, saying he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of using nukes in Europe.
“Europe is a big place,” Trump said. “I’m not going to take cards off the table. We have nuclear capability… The thought of it is horrible. But I don’t want to take anything off the table.”
Furthermore, Donald Trump reportedly asked a foreign policy expert on his transition team: “If we have them, why can’t we use them?
He didn’t just ask the question once, either. He asked it three times.
Again, this is similar to Trump’s question to Chris Matthews, which was “Why do we make them?”
Presumably to use them, I suppose.
Trump has also repeatedly expressed his desire to expand our nuclear arsenal and capabilities.
In addition to numerous public comments, he tweeted this back in December:

What They Are Going to Teach Kids in New Jersey

The New Jersey state Assembly on Thursday passed a bill that would require schools to teach children how to interact with police "in a manner marked by mutual cooperation and respect," reports NBC News.

Assembly bill A1114 passed in the Assembly 76-0, according to the New Jersey State Legislature’s Office of Legislative Services. It must still be passed by the Senate, the office said.

The bill mandates that school districts start teaching kids how to talk to law enforcement officers starting in kindergarten, and would continue instruction all the way through grade 12 as part of the social studies curriculum. If it become law, the program would begin in the state's schools starting in 2018.

But Adam Dick, of the Ron Paul Institute, has better advice:
The kids should watch law professor James Duane explain why he will never talk to police.
Of course, adults should watch this also.

On Destroying Intellectual Inferiors

Tom Woods has left a comment at the post, TWITTER BATTLE Woods vs. Raimondo on Using Leftist Disruptive Tactics.

This has caused JaimeInTexas to respond:
Wake up Tom. When the other side are people like antifa, politeness is already gone.
I really don't get this. Are we really supposed to act like those whose behavior we disapprove of?

I really don't like smelly SF homeless who rage in my face. Am I not supposed to shower for a month and rage in their face?

The easiest thing for me to do is to just avoid these characters.

As for the crazed left, this does not mean we should not act to protect our property, If there is a speech that is expected to go on, or some other gathering, that the crazed left might attempt to stop, well then, it should be held where there is plenty of security. Or where the crazed left is not likely to show up.

This is just common sense.

Although I have a "right" to eat a steak and have a glass of wine at night on a park bench in the Tenderloin, I sure as hell am not going to do it.

Again, common sense.

Engaging in battle by disturbing activity on private property to support freedom on private property seems quite absurd. That is not going to do anything but bring the battle to the gutter.

This is very low-level stuff. Everyone from Keynes to Ayn Rand to Hayek recognized that all societal battles are won by a few at a high intellectual level.

I can assure you that the street genius professor who was arrested after swinging a bike lock at the heads of righties in Berkeley is not a key foundational theorist of the Cultural Marxist school and Critical Theory views that he hugs so close to his chest. He is a low-level thug looking for support from the arguments of the Frankfurt School intellectuals that developed the theories.

The street thugs are as significant to the real intellectual battle as homeless are to the entrepreneurial battles going on in Silicon Valley.

Shimshon also responded to Tom:
Tom, "screaming like a leftist" not the edge of leftist extremism and you know it. Now that the left has openly drawn guns (along with bike locks and various improvised weapons), are you going to use the same logic? How long are you going to preen about how the left should simply moderate their bad behavior and bare fangs against people on the right actually making an effort to stop the insanity. Aristotle put it best:

"[B]efore some audiences not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people one cannot instruct."

They are ineducable. They are literally incapable of learning. They are insane. And you keep trying to be civil and logical with them. Trying to educate the ineducable. That makes you insane too. You're shooting right, like them, instead of left, as you should be.

My language often waxes rhetorical, because I have observed that most of the Austrian School libertarians I am familiar with are as ineducable as the left. Prove me wrong. Please do tell, what does your imagination suggest instead?

There were better and more effective things to scream, to be sure, but they were screaming like slightly inept rightists rather than leftists. Imagine if they had said "Long live the God-Emperor!" (one of Vox Day's suggestions). If they had done it dressed like Based Stickman, or some other real-life character, even better. I hear they're making a Based Stickman comic.

Tom, your Rally for the Republic speech was heroic and inspiring. But it's not 2008 anymore. It's time for a new speech.
I am really trying to digest this comment.  Shimshon writes:
They are ineducable. They are literally incapable of learning. They are insane.
If they are ineducable, incapable of learning and insane, why are is Shimshon paying attention to them?

Sure we have to protect ourselves and our property but if you are going to engage with the
" ineducable, incapable of learning and insane." how are you going to do this other than on an "ineducable, incapable of learning and insane" level?

Is this what Silicon Valley entrepreneurs do, spend their time trying to convince batshit crazy San Francisco homeless to become software engineers?

I happen to think that a good portion of the left could get their crazed views punctured under the right circumstances, That's far from easy. And few on the right come anywhere near to having the skills to do this but the answer is not doing the same batshit crazy things that the leftist are doing.

This is a long game, a very long game, that is not going to be won in the next election cycle or the one after that. If you don't like the intellectual battle for the battle itself and think you are going to move the world toward freedom by acting like a lefty thug, you are greatly mistaken and you are probably much better off surfing the sports channels because the battle isn't going to be won anytime soon and it is certainly not going to be won imitating the lunatic left that hates private property and debate.

On the other hand, if you love the intellectual battle then you should study and study to make your intellectual firepower superior so that you are able to intellectually destroy anyone your inferior.

That said, it is certainly possible on a given important issue of the day to use short term tactics and form alliances to attempt to destroy a particularly dangerous interventionist intrusion. However, this must be a well thought out strategy with precise goals. Not a random reactionary action based on nothing more than "Well, they are doing this to us, so we are going to do it to them." What is that going to accomplish other than result in pitched battles with no logic nor direction?

How does disrupting a private event promote private property? What is the goal of the disruption beyond getting animal spirits charged up on both sides?

This is not how the intellectually superior will win.
