I've now produced nearly 800 episodes of the Tom Woods Show, and I think I can safely say this was one of the best.
I was joined today by Humberto Fontova, author of Fidel: Hollywood's Favorite Tyrant, and The Longest Romance: Fidel Castro and the Mainstream Media.
You won't get over what you hear in this episode.
We discuss:
- the true standard of living under Castro
- those literacy statistics
- "free health care"
- whether Castro was a communist all along (his cheerleaders say no)
- his Stalinist regime
- and a whole lot more.
Following Castro's death, plaudits and huzzahs were all over social media. Young Bernie Sanders fans genuinely think he was a great guy.
You know better. But now, here are the details.
I'm telling you, this is why you listen to my show:
Don't forget to check out the Tom Woods' Liberty Classroom here.
The Yuri Maltsev article mentioned is here.
You couldn't be more wrong. The liberty movement will never gain traction if the sources come off as know-it-all snobs off in their little world of theory. I thought this guy great. He had substance AND style.
ReplyDeleteGod forbid a knowledgeable libertarian has some style! The nerve!
The Liberty Movement needs more charisma, more style, more pizazz to go along with the already great base of thought, not less.
