Bob Dylan Wins Nobel Prize in Literature

Developing....

UPDATE

“for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”.

He wrote some pretty good anti-war songs that are very relevant today:

But other stuff was pretty lefty flaky.

  1. Baby Boomers are enamoured with themselves. People have been taking drugs and screwing for millennia, but when they did it, it was a revolution.

  2. Dylan was lefty flaky until he went electric at the Newport Folk Festival, which some think was a symbolic embrace of capitalism. Dylan had paired up with the controversial entrepreneur and manager Albert Grossman and was starting to make good money, so he decided to put his Greenwich Village days behind him. When he belted out the song "I ain't going to work on Maggie's Farm no more," he seemed to be sending a message to the leftist crowd that tried to claim him as their own and it was met with heavy boos.

  3. Not to mention "wagon wheel" Old crow medicine show got permission from Dylan to use some unfinished work. They took the corous Wagon Wagon Wheel, wrote the verses and release a great blue grass tune with a Pop song Hook.

Old Crow Medicine Show went platnium with. The Darias Rucker (Hootie & the blow fish) made it go tripple platnium for him.

All past his prime Dylan got paid for writing a great hook of chorus. His impact on modern American music is still felt today since Rucker blew it up in 2013.

  4. The great majority of Dylan's songs are not lefty or even political.

  5. I actually can't think of one Dylan song that WAS lefty. Civil rights and peace are not the exclusive property of the left.
